In my over 17 years as an attorney I have devoted my career to fighting for the rights of crime victims and their families.  I have successfully prosecuted some of the worst criminals our state has known and take comfort in knowing that my work has removed dangerous offenders from our neighborhoods.  Having tried more than 50 felony jury trials, including more than 25 first degree murder cases and hundreds of felony bench trials, I was honored to be appointed by the Illinois Supreme Court to serve as a Judge of the Circuit Court of Cook County in 2012.  I am currently assigned to the Domestic Relations Division. 

I want the opportunity to continue to serve in this capacity because I believe that the office of Circuit Court Judge is one of the most important elective offices in our system of government.  Judges are charged with the responsibility and duty of assuring justice prevails based on the facts in evidence – not based on race, ethnicity, socioeconomic means, political affiliation, orientation or any other designation.  All individuals should be treated equally in the eyes of the law and I am committed to seeing that every litigant in my courtroom receives a fair trial and is treated with respect and dignity.
